You may have a bladder control problem if:
- You leak urine (in amounts that vary from a few drops to large volumes) twice or more a month.
- You leak urine with coughing, sneezing, laughing, jumping or exercising.
- You experience an overwhelming strong urge to wee not long after having been to the toilet. You may or may not leak with this urge and it could be triggered by running water (e.g. before a shower), when you arrive home, go to get out of the car or to put your key in the door, or when you are away from home.
- You are going to the toilet more than 7 times a day. More than twice at night can also be considered as more frequent than is ideal and is of significance especially if it coincides with other bladder or bowel symptoms.
