How common is incontinence In New Zealand?

Bladder and bowel control problems are very common. Estimates of prevalence vary widely, however it is estimated that there are in total 1.1 million (25%) of people in New Zealand aged 15 years or over who have either urinary or faecal incontinence or both.  Of these approximately 1.08 million live in the community and 25,300 in aged residential care.
